Ashley's professional journey and commitment to helping individuals achieve their best selves demonstrate her passion for mental health and well-being. As a licensed clinical social worker, she brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her practice. Her use of client-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, and cognitive-behavioral tools underscores her holistic and individualized approach to counseling.

Her focus on meeting clients where they are and guiding them toward their desired goals reflects a deep understanding of the importance of personalized and supportive therapeutic relationships. By creating a safe and nurturing environment, Ashley empowers her clients to explore their inner selves and overcome various personal challenges.

Having worked with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, families, and adults, Ashley is well-equipped to address a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, body image issues, and self-harm. Her extensive background in working with young people dealing with school-related challenges, ADD/ADHD, autism spectrum, behavioral issues, anger management, and confidence-building showcases her versatility as a therapist.

With a Master's degree in Social Work and a concentration in school social work from the University of Illinois in Chicago, Ashley's early experience in the school system equipped her with valuable knowledge about Individualized Education Plans (IEP) and 504 Plans, as well as implementing special education services under the Disabilities Education Act.

After gaining over eight years of experience in a group practice in Chicago, Ashley made the decision to establish her own solo practice, Empowered You Counseling, LLC, in Park Ridge in 2024.
